My name is Mike Sutton. I am the owner of Sutton Auto-Tech. Sutton Auto-Tech was opened in Idaho Falls by my father, Tom Sutton, in 1970.

When the shop first opened, it was located on Lindsay Boulevard and was later moved to its current location on Skyline Drive in 1989. I took over the business in 1998.

My father is the service advisor, my wife, who took over for my mother, is the book-keeper, our children help out now and then, and my mother is the glue that holds us all together.

I have been working on cars since 1978. I started out working with my father when the shop was located on Lindsay Boulevard.

Later I was trained in GM auto repair at the Burbank training facility in Burbank, California. After my training in California, I returned to Idaho Falls and worked for the local GM dealer as a line technician from 1989 to 1995.

I would work at the GM dealer during the daytime, and then I would work at the family shop on appointments in the evenings. In 1995, I came to work with my father on a full-time basis.

I work on numerous brands and models of automobiles, with the main lines mentioned above.

Pretty much any application from A to Z – foreign and domestic, Asian and European, classic cars, race cars, carburetors, and fuel-injected. My customer base is a very wide variety of people and vehicles, and I appreciate every one of them for their continued patronage.
